Dual battery mounts

How have you guys mounted dual battery set ups under the hood? sideways or longway in the stock loacation?

There was a factory option for one battery each side, basically mirror imaged. LMC has the parts you need; specifics vary by whether your truck is 73-80 or 81-up.

I went this route as it's easy and uses stock parts. Did have to wire across the radiator support.

I use factory dual trays, like in a 6.2L diesel. One battery on each inner fender.
