yes search as there are TONS of different ways to do it...
my setup is as follows...
crappy factory 63a alt
charges 2 x 1000ca duralast golds under the hood for the truck....
charges 2 x 1300ca big rig 12v bats in the bed for my patriot 15k winch
seperated by a 90a battery isolator
my next thing to do is add a solenoid so I can jump the truck with the batteries in the bed.. but I have been too busy to even look at my truck....

My dual batt setup is as follows:
OEM batt trays on each side of fenderwheel (stock locations).
Redtop as primary
Yellow top as aux
Hellroaring battery isolator
MeanGreen 140amp Alternator.
Im running all my stuff off the main battery and using the AUX batt purely as backup. But with the Isolator I have, I can combine the batts for winching,etc.
So far the system works. Ive had it on there for over a year or so.

ryoken, along about March you were looking for gasket rubber with self stick. I don't have time to read through the whole thread to see if you found something, but check McMaster-Carr page 3407.ryoken said:
