Dual Electric Fan Relay Mounting, Hiding Options

82 K5 Blazer...

So I already have dual electric fans, big ass ron davis radiator setup installed and working good. I'm happy with it's performance in all weather. Including the hundred & stupid summer temps in Vegas & Phoenix.

But i don't like seeing the two relays, I'd like to hide them somewhere and maybe enclose them in some kind of waterproof box of somekind.

I'm looking for ideas from those who have done the hidden wiring drill and found or came up with clean solutions for hiding things like relays, wire junction blocks etc., for stuff not under the dash or in the cab of these K5's.

thanks in advance

At Menards,u can get a 4"×4"×2" box with a cover and get your snake skin there too, cheper then auto zone, and zip ties.i put mine hi on rad-cover I still need to seal the hole, but out of the water.hope this will help

I think it was @ryoken that got a waterproof relay box off of a late model Chevy.

nada on the late model stuff here.. but i have seen that done in here... might have been @RootBreaker running one...

I generally come up with overly convoluted alum or fiberglass solutions unfortunately... :haha: :doah: you either need to put them under/behind something, or hide them in plain sight with an enclosure.. we have some pretty fancy stuff in the marine biz for this stuff... hubbell boxes, IP65 stuff, etc....

here's an oldie but goodie.... ;) some day it'll be back....

and here's the relay setup in Mutt's box....

That’s true, you’d never use something off the shelf. :haha:
I’ll see if I can search for who did that. It was many years ago that I saw it.

good memory @ryoken yeah it was me.. never got around to finishing it...
1989 olds 88... remember to grab long battery cable. it is removed but going back in and cleaner. learned how to take it apart, rewire, etc...
