I have a 1986 Chevy short bed that is getting a GM performance parts ZZ 502 deluxe crate engine with headers.
It has a TH400, NP205, Dana 60, 14 bolt.
I am wondering what size dual exhaust I should put on the truck. I was thinking 3", does anyone know of a 2 1/2" or 3" kit for this truck? Part #'s would be great.
Has anyone used one of the universal street rod kits from flowmaster or dynomax to do this, if so which one is best?
Which mufflers should I use? I want some that sound good but are not too loud driving around. It is ok if they are real loud when I get after it. I read the Dynomax super turbo mufflers flow good and aren't too loud. What do you think?

All suggestions will be appreciated.

Thanks,
Mike

All I saw on LMC's website is 2 1/4" exhaust, did I miss something?

Thanks,
Mike

No, mine has been on one year now still looks good and YES I ran it through an Ohio winter. I had salt make rust pop out on the truck but not the system.

Would I do it again YES. 305 TBI with a 700r and 3:08 gears stock tires I get 15 mpg on highway flat land doing 65 mph and 10 mpg in town. Here is the BAD I have no converters on it. Yea yea yea I know heard all the crap about it before.

Anybody else have any ideas for me?

Thanks,
Mike
