Anyone running a dual snorkel air cleaner?

See all different ones (cameros , corvettes ) listed on flebay. Just wondering if they will fit on my otherwise stock 84 with HEI.

If the Spectre dual intake carb hat is what you’re referring to, then sure it’ll fine. I run a single inlet on mine, but if one is good two must be better.

Use the stock tall air cleaner and just add the 2nd snorkel on the other side. Hard to find an air filter with more surface area than that. I bet that STP paper filter flows better than most K&N cones.

$150 for a used short air cleaner?

I think you can make a tall air cleaner in about an hour and $20 in parts.Of course, the THERMAC and hose attachment are off with the home brew ones.

I've got a second one in pieces in the garage. Wasn't as cool as I thought it would be, made just as much noise as a flipped lid and all the same power. Which was nothing measurable, particularly for the extra clutter in the engine bay.

I guess shipping takes it to 125.
But I don't think I would bother building one if I could buy one for 100 bucks. Not saying it's a good deal. Just saying it wouldn't be worth my time.
