I am reconditioning my 8-lug 1979 Dana44 front, and was going to replace the tie rod. Well I was lookin in the August 2000 issue of Four Wheeler with the '57 stepside they turned into a 4x4 rig and it has a dual stabilizer set up which looks like it doesn't use a tie rod. Anyway I was lookin online for a kit or a bracket and all I can find is dual stabilizers on the same side that connect to the tie rod.

Could anyone tell me where I could get a kit or a bracket, or if I even need one for the opposing stabilizers, and also the pros and cons of using this setup instead of a tie rod???

-Thanks

There is still a tie rod. The opposing stabilizers are just in front of it so you can't see it. They attach right to it. Superlifts kit runs this way. I have it on my Crew Cab.
