Dual TBI

Found this dual tbi kit from http://howellefi.com/customer/product.php?productid=16440&cat=272&page=1

System uses remote bypass fuel regulator and precision progressive throttle linkage for improved driveability. Components are sold separately, and can be used on any SBC engine with a 2x4 intake manifold designed for Carter AFB or Edelbrock carburetors to convert to EFI. Sold with a new Edelbrock intake manifold for regular or Vortec heads. Operates with or without ECM controlled ignition.

I just need to figure out how to program a TPI ECM / PROM like Howell EFI did for dual tbi's. Think maybe Howell EFI would sell just the PROM? They say components are sold separately.

Interesting setup but for the complexity I'd just go MPFI.

GM ran dual TBI's for a very short time and then stopped producing them as they were way more trouble than it was worth.

That was the crossfire set up used in Camaro's and Vette's. This system should work much better then what was used back in the early 80's.

I tend to think about what is inside the ECM ... Injector drivers ... IAC control circuits. I find it very interesting the ECM used for the dual TBI is from an OEM TPI system. I wonder how the TPI injector drivers handle the low impedance of the TBI injectors? I also find it very interesting the dual TBI's both have IAC motors, so I'm wondering how the IAC steps are set up?

The single four barrel TBI look good also! Uses the same TPI ECM as the dual TBI's.

I'm figuring I could make a dual TBI system for less money than a single four barrel TBI? The cost of salvage yard 4.3 TBI's, FWD V6 ECM's and wiring harness are not expensive? Ebay always has dual 4 barrel intakes, sometimes at low cost prices? I could get TBI adapter plates for low cost prices? Seems the expensive parts would have to come from Howell EFI, throttle linkages, and pressure regulator?
