anyway, please note, these are just pics I stole from a for-sale ad, and I know nothing else about it. Should you be interested, it's not mine ... I just saw it for sale in the San Francisco, CA area on Craigslist.org.

why on earth would anyone go through the effort? only sane reason for having a dually is for towing... and the K5 just isn't the optimal tow rig. I just don't get it. Of course, I don't get lowered suburbans (or other fullsize SUVs for that matter) either and yet people do it.

just to be different I suppose. Nothing wrong with that. It's kinda neat looking but like you said, alot of work and not really better for anything.

Yeah, I donno. Looks neat ... though is it just me, or are the front tires wider than the rear?

And the seller wants $11K, I think, which is just funny, seeing as it isn't actually good for anything but looking neat.

Doesn't have a dually front end so I suppose the tires/rims are sticking out a bit. Have to carry two spares.

i would bet the owner hasn't thought that far ahead.
 
A guy in fremont has one too. Its on 35's or 38's, with a trussed 10bolt in the rear.

If one set of tires won't kill a 10 bolt, why not try 2? :confused:

absolutely nothing wrong with originality or being different... its refreshing sometimes...I guess when I first saw it I was trying to find a justification beyond "being different" when perhaps there was never meant to be one. ;)

I met the owner once at a gas station. It was a few years back, all I remember is he had a real chip on his shoulder and the price was $7K then. They are not dually rims on the front, the front axle is the stock 10 Bolt. Rear wheels are stock dually rims (16" x 6"). I can't remember what the rear axle is, actually, I don't think I ever got to take a look. As we were talking I told him I'd seen a few other Blazer duallies (car shows, magazines, etc.), he got pretty pissed off and called me a lier. I really didn't feel like sticking my head under his truck after that! He isn't a wheeler, so you can expect nothing more than a dually conversion on this one. The rest of the truck looked stock, nothing special ... and now it's a few years older too. $11K is pretty steep for that truck.

Here's one you might pay $11k for ... and see, I'm not a lier!!

That guy is just a couple of blocks away from me. I used to see it all the time, not lately though. I've never met the guy who owns it, or even seen it being driven, it's always parked.
 
There was one forsale by me a while ago, it had a plow on it so I figured he wanted more traction in the snow?? Anyways I stopped and looked at it... Boy was it GHETTO!
 
Some were made factory like that in other countries, there is different demand in other countries, and different vehicles to suit them.
