Dually conversion from single

Depends on what type of truck. I see in your sig that you have a crew cab 4x4 and I am going to figure it's a 1 ton. If it was me I would either find a dually bed in a yard or come up with the fenders and have a body shop connect them on to the existing bed along with a new paint job to the whole truck so it will look factory and not like a crayon box. I would get a dually rear end and swap it in because I think the rearend width is what is different between an SRW and DRW, not just the hubs. For the front I would trade somone here at CK5 my SRW front hubs for the dually versions (i'm sure there would be plenty of folks that would love that trade) and finish it off with some nice 16" polished alcoa rims. ;)

The 82 one SRW 4x4 that I own is for sale and I might have it sold and I have found a 2x4 big blk. one ton srw that is more of what I need, tow vehicle, but I was thinking about converting it to dually so that is why i was wondering

swap info

some 1 ton rears came with the small brakes on them most were big 13" dia thes wont work . wont clear the bell of the dully rim. if you have the smaller you might just need to change studs for longer but not 100% sure on the axle flange widths. dont forget the dully lug nut plates that gm runs for the rims. with the front like info from above, swap just the rotor hub assbly, rotors are diff in mounting hole dia. , need sfw rotors for srw need drw rotors for drw, if 2x4 front swap the hub rotor combo just the same. all brake barts are the same srw to drw. just face that wheel sits on is spaced out more.

I'll trade you my dually front hubs/rotors for your SRW ones.

That is the preferred method of doing this. If you keep your ear to the ground long enough, you can usually get one for well under $200.00, sometimes even for free. For some reason, it seems that these are worth nothing unless you need one right away, then you'd think they are gold plated.
D70HD is what you are looking for

Hey, I'll try and give you a call later on. Figures, I just traded off a Dually bed that I had off an '83.

I had a '77 with a regular single wheel 14-bolt rear that someone stuck dually rims and tires on. They ended up grinding off half the fins on the drums to make the rims clear, and it was a tight fit even with 16.5's. Not the best way to do it.

I have access to a complete Dana 70 HD Dually rear end with 3.73 gears and 4 16" rims.
