One of the plans for my 82 gmc 1500 build is to add a dually rear axle this spring. I understand what is involved there. What I don't understand is the need for the front axle with spacers for the dually wheel. I have a Dana 60 for the front. Why do i need to add dually spacers then use dually wheels to being the offset back into center of the hub? Why not just leave it the way it is with a non dually front wheel? Educate me here.
