i found a dually D60 for $500. how hard/ how much $$ would it take to convert it to single wheel?

thanks guys

this question has been asked a million times, have you tried the search?

anyway, its real easy, just buy srw hubs and rotors and your all set

thanks, ya sorry i did search after i posted...oops :frown1: i was just soo excited to find any kind of dana 60 for under $1000

thanks for the help

I bought my Dually D60 for $900 shipped. Here's what I paid to get it to about what it is now:

new Single Wheel hubs off e-bay: ~$370 shipped
new spicer 35-spline outers from local shop: ~$140
new Warn 35-locking hubs off e-bay: ~$195 shipped
new wheel bearings and races and seals: ~$50

So ~$755 extra will get you to a single wheel D60 with 35-spline stuff

Nobody said D60's were cheap to build but there is a price for superior strength...

Just an idea of what I have in my front axle alone:

axle shipped : $900
hubs: $370
locking hubs: $195
wheel bearings: $50
inner and outer axles: $375
detroit: $575
install kit: $100
Crane diff cover: $225
ORD tie rod w/ TREs: $175
ORD x-over drag link: $165
Dropped pitman arm: $75
ORD x-over steering arm: $150
new rotors: $120
new calipers and pads: $60
hydro-assist: $325

Total $3860

lol..that more than I paid for the truck

Oh well...at least I don't have to worry about my crap breaking for now
