Ok I know this has been touched on with a couple built threads but let's discuss it independently.

Removing the front Dually spacers and replacing the front wheels with single wheels. What does this accomplish other than getting a wider wheel up front? What does it do to the track width in relation to the rear duals? I'm on the scent of my dream Crewcab and it will be a Dually. I like what some of you guys have done putting the singles on the front axle and I'm debating the benefit vs just looks. Give me some input here.
@ryoken and any others....educate me dumb azz.

You would get a little bit better turning radius, its easier on the bearings. but the cost of new hubs will far exceed the savings on bearings.
Down side is now you won't have matching wheels so what do you do for a spare?

I guess I'd run two spares.

Most guys running the normal wheel up front have a non dually axle.

I have seen it with a dually axle it's very wide unless you run like an H1 rim. With 7" or so of backspacing

not sure how a stock DRW front tire aligns with the backs, but my SRW (converted) 60, the tire lines up pretty much down the middle of my back tires...

for me, it was strictly looks.. i despise the dually front rim look.. and in my case, I run a spare for the front and leave the backs to be their own 3 legger temporarily.. it was kinda easy to head in that direction with my spare mounting...

That's where I'm coming from more than anything I guess. I like the duals but I hate the way the front wheels look. Converting to single wheel hubs isn't really a big deal for me. I was thinking how much better it would look with a single wheel white wheels and a hubcap on the front.

I consider it a minor inconvenience... thankfully the Baja's haven't let me down yet.. I would love to pick up another 4 or so if I can still find/afford some... keep the warehouse full... ;)
