I've been looking at crew cabs for a while now and prefer a 4wd dually. But I was curious, dont know what made me think of this, but could you run dual tires up front? Little added traction in the snow maybe? Proabably hit the wheel wells and frame when turning, but does it cause any problems with driveability beyond that? I've seen folks run singles on the back for winter driving to prevent flotation on an already light rearend.

I've seen trucks with dual's front and back but imo if you want the extra traction run a single wide tire. Heck you can get 33's like 15" wide.

I was just curious. I figured it wouldnt work too well in snow, but if it was like 2' of untracked snow, it could help. I remember someone had a pic of a Burb with duals front and rear, but it was on display for a dealership or tire center. Looked kinda cool and goofy at the same time.

Besides, buying four tires is bad enough let alone eight!:eek1:

I suppose if you made em wide enough, and were going for flotation they'd work :D Maybe even be as awesome as those monster trucks that go driving around in lakes and stuff and use the lugs on their tires to paddle with :D
