hey welcome aboard!

as for the vibration, you should check out the reap pinion angle and the blocks if theyre faced the proper direction. another thing is that your rear driveshaft could now, be too short. post up some pics not from facebook so we can all see them!

vibration could be your pinion angle, you should look into that make sure it is not too severe. May even be your noise.

they were tapered block...so they gotta b on right, oh yeah i forgot to mention that i had to tie up the front shaft to tranny support beams, about 3" too short. just until monday..:shame: the rear does't look to angled? i'm taking it to drive train shop for some advice and front shaft, decided not to go with spacer, figured i'd regret it later.

as for pics .....i can't figure out how?? :1zhelp:

(and savin $ again for rear springs)

You might not have enough posts to put pics up here yet. When you do you can go to www.photobucket.com and create an account. Upload pics and paste the tags here (it'll make sense when you go on photobucket).

So you really have the front d-shaft hooked up to the transfercase and the other end is just tied up?

yes, i know i know, am i an idiot or what (well you kind of know the answer) lol. but i couldn't get my breaker bar in the small space to free up them damn 4 bolts. my small open ends didn't give me enough ummmpp (leverage)
its not gonna do any damge? i mean as long as i leave it in 2 wheel drv, the frnt shaft ain't spinning ...right??
its 86, so its not full time.

dudes go easy on me.....i'm new to ALL of this. this truck is my first wrenching exp. too.

No worries, we're just funning with ya. This is NOT like Pirate4x4, most of the time the funnin is friendly. Specially with the new guys. Post one more time and you should be able to post pics up. Welcome to the board. :waytogo:

The 15 post deal got changed to 5 a while back.

Head to www.photobucket.com and start an account there. I host all my pics there so all members can see them, not just those that paid for a membership. It's easy to use, and they give you an insane amount of room for free...

I have 400+ photos on my photobucket page...

mine does the same thing. If you figure it out let me know lol

Like people have said it's more than likely a driveline vibration you're hearing when you're off the throttle.

The best thing to do is to post pictures of everything and go from there.

6" blocks?

Don't get caught up on the angle of the driveshaft. What matters is the amount of angle in each U-joint - they have to be the same. Sometimes the tapered block looks like it's "helping" because the angles reduce (mostly just the rear one, though), but the vibration gets worse the more difference there is between the front and rear joints. It's best if you pick up an angle finder.
