Ok...The rear is done, minus the rear steer ram mounts. as you can see, the 42's kinda make the 39.5's look small. They are kinda skinny though, esp. on the hummer rims.

Here is what is left....

Mount ram on front axle
Install center chunk on front axle
have hydro lines ran from orbital valve to all rams, pump, cooler
D-shafts
front pinion Brake
seats, roll cage etc inside the cab

Bottom line, I WILL BE AT ECBBO5

I love the Butterfly Summer bike in front there on the last pic!!!:D
(my daughter has the same one...)

3/4 heims with rockwells? or am I mistaken? I like the spring bucket/heim mount idea. Do you think that is enough vertical seperation at the axle end?

we shall see:grin:

Honestly, I am a little concerned about those 2 factors, but.... I think I will be ok for the following reasons..

1. stock v-6 (low power)
2. tires are "only 42's"--vs. 48's, 53's etc
3. driving stlye...I avoid full throttle assualts.

Triangulation....I wish it was more, but thats the MOST I could get. I was really worried about it at first, then I went to a monster truck show, and saw how much triangulation they have (or actually dont have). Yeah, their hardware was bigger, but very rarely have you seen one of there links break. Only after supper high speed jumps. And they weigh 10000 #'s, have HUGE tires, and its all being pushed by 1500 horses. So, I "think" I should be ok.

EDIT>>>>>Vertical seperation----Yeah, I am sure...Its close to 11 inches.

I'd worry as far as the heims are concered, but that just means I'd carry some spares ;)

reinforce that frame by boxing it or some sort of crossmember between where your mounting your links or joints, my buddy did a rockwell s10, hes hangs over there on pirate. while wheeling last season we ripped 6" square section out of the frame where the front link heim joints were welded to. we literally tore the frame like paper didnt break any welds but it failed when we hit a boulder. look him up his call sign is slick rick.

Yeah, I hear that on boxing the frame, I forgot to mention that in the list of still to do's. I am going to box it from where just past the link mounts forward to the cross member (where the factory box frame ends), then re-enforce it into the crossmember. That area of the fram is so weak, that I can push up on it and it will tweak with my hand. The boxed part is pretty beefy though.

BTW-Yeah, I know slick rick on Pirate.
