Hey Guys,
My 79 K1500 has duel tanks. The selector valve went out a while back and the PO had removed the selector switch anyway, so I just bypassed the valve with the primary tank. Works fine, but I suddenly want a working fuel gauge. I've checked the wires and cleaned the ground, but I'm stuck at the switch end (I don't have the switch). Can I simply put a jumper wire across the connector? and witch connections?

Thanks for your generous offer! I found one at autoz I can pick up though.
It's just bugg'n me I can't figure out a simple jumper.
I tried randomly and blew a fuse,,I thought only one was hot!
I never could read these wiring diagrams.
Thanks again

Well, I can't read it either, and I'm an electronics engineer!

But, its not that the schematic is all that complicated, I just can't see enough of it.

However, from what I do see, you will need to jumper from pin 4 to either pin 3 or pin 5.

Looks like you will jumper pin 1 and 2 together for the Aux tank, and leave pin 1 disconnected for the main tank.
