Dumb question

I have what may very well be a dumb question. I am looking at buying an early 70 model GMC Jimmy and am wondering if the Chevy K5 parts are interchangeable like the new Chevy and GMCs. Thanks for the help.

Everything is interchangable ,duct tape, super glue, big hammer, these are your tools for modifying things that don't want to fit at first. It's called turning sh!t into icecream

Yes everything should swap over except the front body pieces. For example, I have a 72 Blazer and I wanted to switch the front grille to the cool looking GMC grille. I found out the hard way that you have to switch the fenders, hood and rad support to 'change' a Chevy to a GMC. So what I did was just to buy a parts truck with a good front clip for $700. I am going to love making the switch, it is going to make my beast look that much better.

The 69-72 may have some front clip differences but the 73-91's were just grills and badge changes. Everything else is the same.
