\"Duplicolor\" Spray in Bedliner

I'm wondering if anyone has used this stuff, they sell it at Auto Zone.

The PO bedlined the entire tub on my 72' but my roll cage is bright red and I want it black. For this application I think spray is the only way to go, it would be really hard to get a good coat on those tubes with a brush. I also want to touch up a few undersprayed areas and do my bedrails in this before I put the soft top rails on. Has anyone used this or have any input on this product? This is the only brand I could find in a spray can.

i tryed it and it took hours to remove it -- it sucked - i put hurkuliner in and it is still rock hard and sticking to the metel

good luck in your choice /forums/images/graemlins/thinking.gif

that sh|t sucks.

it has been removing itself from my floor chunk by chunk.

i followed the directions perfectly.
i had to get my money back it was so horrible.
and i work at the store i bought it, so as long as i have my way, we will never sell another can/quart of it again /forums/images/graemlins/mad.gif

Do not buy that stuff. It will come up real quick and you will never get it on thick enough. They do sell it in a spray can though.

OK then maybe some thoughts on that roll cage, it looks like crap red. Should I just paint it black and give up on the 'liner? (I just thought it would look good throughout) And maybe that's not what the PO used 'cause I've had a carb., a hub, some steering parts and U-joints rolling around back there for a week and I bounced around in the desert a little and no scratches.

Do any of the other ones come sprayable? I just don't see it looking like anything but crap it I brush paint it.

Run far, far away from that crap. I used it to line the tub in my Jimmy and its less durable than paint, it also fades badly.

The stuff is horrible. Even Wal-mart doesn't sell it anymore. And Wal-mart sells crap. The Plasti-kote stuff is much better but still isn't all that good.
