Ok well I am really wanting to put a 6.6 in my 85 K5, I know it will be expensive but it will be unique and fun to drive. I plan on leaving the engine stock so I was wondering if a 4l80e would hold up to the 300hp 610lb/ft? If it is adequate what tcase is the best to run behind it?
Thought about doing the Allison 1000 w/ NVG-261 or 271 but I have heard that would be a very long drivetrain and might not work so well with a short frame.
