For a C10... I dumped two coffee cans of bolts, screws and lint and nothing fit.

I see speedway sells two types. But seems a bit pricey for what they are.

Does anyone have the size?

I've seen about 20+ posts all over the net with not much info other than "buy a handful of sheet metal screws, one will fit" "1/4-20 1/2 or 6mm" type of answers.

Also my th350 only has bolt holes on the bottom (by the pan) and missing the other two up top.

Is it a thin tin type cover or thick like the transmission case?

Mine uses 2 sizes. The 2 upper are different from the 2 lower. I can't remember which size goes where, but one pair is 1/4-20 and the other pair is something smaller like a #10.

I'm pretty sure the 1/4-20 go in the upper holes.

Why I asked it's such a hodgepodge of answers. Far more topics on this than I anticipated when searching. And really no definitive answers. Looks like I'll have to get a few sets and just see what works.

It's a hodge poge because gm used different fasteners at different times, no bean counters 2 wd 1/4 x20, bean counters pre metric self tapping sheet metal style, then 4wd 5/16th x 18 , 8mm x1.25, and some are 10mm x1.50.
You need to use the new crib blocks roll under there and see what you have. I also won't be surprised to see a damaged hole.

Then if someone did a repair it could be anything. Or someone could have use the wrong fastener and stuck a sheet metal style in a 1/4 x20, or vise versa. Case is aluminum impact driver don't even complain about wrong thread in aluminum.

While I have every confidence in @Greg Ducato rebuilds, the cases are used, and I wouldn't blame a rebuilder for using a good case with a bad cover hole. I am sure there are tons of cases with damaged cover holes, and a good case internally, with a bad cover hole is not something to snub.

I just checked all 4 are 1/4-20 just that 2 have 3/8 heads and the other 2 are 7/16 heads. This is a 2wd TH350 in my 73 C10.

1/4-20 confirmed. I got 3/8 length because that's all they had. But 1/2 would be better. I'll check back at ACE hardware for 1/4-20 1/2 but dust cover is on and fits. Even painted the bastard..thanks @Wes Harden for hooking up that dust cover

Glad it worked out

tractor supply sells hardware by the pound grade 3 is $3.79 ? grade 8 is $5.79. I buy a mixed bag every time I stop in
