Looking for the part number for the dust shield (or what ever its called) for the 35 spline outers for the dana 60. And was wondering if these are only available from a dana/spicer dealer or can I get these at Napa. I did a search and didn't come up with anything. Thanks /forums/images/graemlins/1zhelp.gif

I just finished my 35 spline conversion today so this is fresh in my mind.
The Dana 60 has a dust shield - a rotor dust shield. It mounts via the spindle studs.
I can't figure what else you may be talking about. Are you thinking of the flanges some people use instead of a hub? These have a cover.

I figured out what you are talking about.
It is called: Slinger-Spindle yoke (pressed on axleshaft if used.)

The actual metal disc itself does not have a part number listed that I can find.
If you diassemble it, you will see it actually has a rubber seal and another piece. Anyway, those parts are available. It's just the actual metal disc that is not. You should remove the metal disc from your old shaft.
Then buy DANA 700014 times two and that will replace the wear pieces.
Please note that that Dana number is from 1978 and is almost certainyl superceded by another number, but a dealer can get you the new number from the old number. /forums/images/graemlins/thumb.gif

Yep, that's what I'm looking for, the metal disc thats pressed on. I was told that they where still available. I haven't gone to napa or the local dana/spicer dealer yet to see. I was just hoping someone here knew the part numbers. I guess I better go tomorrow and see if they can get them /forums/images/graemlins/shocked.gif

My model 60 spicer book doesn't list a part number for it - it listed a part number for almost everything else though.
It may have a part number and be available and it's just not in the book.
Good luck.

Thanks Shaggy, do you know if thats for the 30 spline or the 35 or will it fit either?

I can answer that one. If fits both.
I removed mine from the 30 spline shaft and installed in on my 35 spline shaft with no problems.

is that number on Billa's site? if not email it to him so it will be plz

Actually I had forgotten about that site until after I had asked and had been answered. But I did go take a look and after searching a few minutes I did find it over. I might have looked right past it though if Mudder didn't give me the correct name for it. Thanks again guys, and that site is the best!
