My first take, seriously, is to sell it and get a black one. The Bestops only came in black, so there's lots of those, and not so many Kaylines that came in other colors. With patience you oughta come out ahead.
That said, get you some Rit at the drugstore and go to town, it's just like shoes.

OK nice. pretty easy then
I have the same question about dying soft tops. I have a brand new 73-75 STC still in the box. It was ordered Charcoal (which means grey). Any one have any ideas on dying Black or want to trade (new top for top or close to new).
Must be black.

I'd get rid of it and donate the new top to someone else that lives in your area.
