After building my motor I would kinda like to get it on a dyno to see what kind of power it makes. Anyone know of a dyno in the beaverton, hillsboro area that can accomodate a K5 on 35's?

I think the place on hwy 26 is called pmi. its on the north side of the highway, west of 185th. i havent been there myself, but i have heard they know their stuff.
the place i do know is tom's performance in vancouver. they know what they are doing with v8 stuff, as apposed to most around here only do imports

If you are going to strap it down on a dyno, why are you getting a mail order tune???

To do a dyno run is usually $70 to have it tuned is $150/hour assumming you cand find someone that knows how to tune old TBI chevy's. These aren't the most popular trucks anymore. Around here 400hp honda/subaru's are what's popular.

I have all the equipment to data log and program the ecm. So there is no snail mail involved. I can email Brian the results and he can email back a new file.

that place on hwy 26 is called PSI. not PMI
I contacted him he wants $100/hour and hasn't got back to me what his setup costs are. I assume that gets added in the 1st hour. But who knows how fast or slow his guys work.

Those guys are great. I've been there a couple times for diesel dyno-days. I don't have any gas engine experience there.

At one dyno day, I broke the belt on their dyno when my nitrous hit :pimp:
I emailed these guys they haven't gotten back to me. Vancouver is a little far for me. I'd have to take a day off to get down there. But possible.

so horsepowerfreaks.com isn't renting there dyno out at the moment.

fastspecialties.com doesn't know if they'll allow someone to tune themselves and they want $110/hour + tax just for the dyno and $150/hour for the tuning. I refuse to pay Washington taxes. I live in Oregon we dont have sales tax.

Anyone else know of any others?

So far the PSI place is the only valid option.

Nobody knows of any other places?

I promise to post up my dyno results once it tuned :)
