Long story short: I'm rewiring my truck from front to rear.

I'm replacing my dummy lights with gauges (junk yard cluster). I've got everything working but I don't know about the e-brake warning light. The cluster had two wires coming out of the back of the bulb holder (for the ebrake) as though it had been wired up independtly of the cluster. It still has contacts on the holder for the cluster board. I thinking about using a spare holder and trying to hook it up and see what happens. Has anyone come across this (e-brake light wired this was)?

BTW, just by typing this out it seems to be simplier now..

Follow the printed circuit board leads and see if there is a wire on the instrument panel connector for BOTH leads. My suspicion would be that one of the PCB is hooked to 12V, while the two leads off the bulb are grounds, that way if the brake pedal is activated, or the proportioning valve trips, the bulb is grounded and the light comes on.
