E Brake or?

I think my Emergency brake is stuck.. how do I check to see if its disengaging? or could there be something else stopping me once I put my truck in drive it doesn't roll forward anymore I have to give it gas and then it feels like its being forced to moved and doesn't want too. and something is trying to hold it there. I think it is my e brake but who the hell knows I don't have the time I would like to freaking tear this thing apart..

idk if it matters but its an 88 5.7

Chock the front wheels, put it in neutral and jack the rear up. The wheels should spin by hand.

well I never had to jack it up, I had to go in to work for a bit in a rush (one of my Marines f***ed up last night... and when I was leaving it wouldn't move and so I gave the truck a lil more gas, and sure enough left rear tire skid, ebrake so I messed with the line until I felt it come loose and it was fixed. (for now) and that fixed my whole problem with it feeling like it was in 4x4 and lunging all over the place

now to rebuild it
