I have tried to do a search on this because I am sure I am not the only on on this site who has has to modify the e-brake cabels but I will be damned if I can find anything...

ok so here is what I have...

i would love to use the dive line brake from HAD...down the road or switch to discs but for now I have to come up with a e brake solution for my drum brakes..

My truck is a 84 blazer, the 84 blazer e brake is set up to use a splitter...to seperate the brake cables...a single cable back from the pedal back to the back just past the shock mount then a splitter to go to each individual drum...therefore the passanger cable is longer

but my 78 14 bolt ff is from a suburban and it's design is to use a splitter by the e-brake pedal and extends equal length individual brake lines to each drum...

I need some advice how others in the same situation have connected the e-brake pedal to the brake lines...

I have 8" of lift and the e-brake lines on the 14 bolt will not reach to the splitter..

help please..

Remove the cables from your 14FF from within the drum brake housing and swap them with your old axle cables. This will get your passenger side back to the drivers side in the somewhat correct length. Then you should be able to fab up some sort of drop brackets and/or longer cable sections.
