early Ford solenoid on chevy

Help fellas!I got a 81 k20 over the holidays and found someone had added an early four prong starter solenoid,Ford,to the starter system.I'm trying to bump it over with my trigger switch.it's been awhile since I've fooled with this solenoid.my question is doesn't one trigger lead hook to the hot,battery,side of the solenoid and the other trigger lead to the "S" side of the solenoid to bump it over.thanks in advance
