"Easier" way to change fuel pump

I type this post and i guarantee you within the next week i'm gonna have to change mine

I fully expect mine to fail on my way to work in the morning now.

you got that right even though i go a different route. I always get a second person and lift the bed off the truck makes it tons easier. I haven't done it on MY truck but have on my brothers and my stepdads.

My dad even tried it but had problems so i helped him take the bed off. Had it out in like 30 minutes

I like changing pumps that way too. Except I only remove the bolts from the tank side of the bed, and just loosen the others. Then I jack up the one side of the bed and block it up high enough to get the sending unit out. Works great if you're doing it by yourself.

ive always cut the access panel to take it out. for one my k5s are usually offroad trucks and if i screw something up with the wiring or the sending unit dont work i dont want to have to take all that crap out again
