Easiest way to fit my new Fodeez!

I have 52" in front. 39.5" but 3" body and tons of "trimming" didn't think to reply since I know you don't want the cutting I have done :D But here is you 52" reply.

tRusty that is a cool looking rig. I really like the flat black look. So the consensus seems to be 4" plus O-rate in front and shackle flip in rear and 0-rate. Right?

Heck I would not even mind throwing a 1" puck in there.

I figured I would see more guys with 52's in the front.

I don't have zero-rates, just re-drilled perches to relocate the diff's. I do have a 1" body lift though.

I am thinking about doing 6" front springs, what about the back. Will I have to do a shackle flip and a 2" spring? What is the ride and flex like on 6" springs? What brand you guys recommend? I just don't think I wanna cut out all that metal to fit w/4" stuff.

6" super lifts, shackle flip in the rear with 6 inch long shackles.

Sorry To Hijack but why is there a Stick hanging out the back of your rig?? :dunno: :what:

:haha: :haha: :haha: :haha: :haha: :haha:

Went to the dunes and have yet to get an antenna deal. 4 foot stick, some duct tape, and a red rag, and I was in business.

There are lots of ATV's that play at these dunes.

:haha: :haha: :haha:

Thanks guys. We are all getting older, even me!

Same 4" + 1" + 39.5" TSL's.

Just a little trimming, front diff moved 1.25" forward and I still have inners up front (barely.)

Hey Rene, got any detail shots of how your inners are secured? I keep staring at mine, trying to figure out how to trim what I want/need and still keep 'em...

Well looks like I am doing some trading for some 44" TSL's. I remember seeing a thread about using 2" lift 52's in the front. I was thinking they said it was too tall, but don't remember what size tires that was with. Anybody know what link I am talking about and what size tires they had. The thread had a white K5 in it that had some sick flex dropping off in a rock gulley or something.

hey tRusty, how do we know how far to whack? I am having a body shop do mine, so I have to have it right the first time. Can we have some measurments from rear of fender edge to new opening, and front of opening to front of fender? Also do we need to go higher? Sorry to hi-jack, but I think we have the same questions. 38.5x14.4, 52"s, zero rate (still in center hole), and shakle flip.

Here is a half-@ss attempt in the "paint shop" program at the hopeful "after photo"

Your gonna be pretty close to being able to run them. I would flex it out and see what needs to be cut. 40's and up are a whole nother ball game with low COG suspension......the firewall and radiator support become a huge factor.

I actually trimmed my front fenders from the inside out (removed from the truck of course) I used a 5" grinder with a very thin cut-off disc on it and cut just below the inner fender mounting area. I wanted to retain the inners...

Center of the front wheel opening I have 3.5" from the body line down to where I cut.

At the back of the fender at the height of the bottom of the door the fender is 5.5" from the door edge.

The front of the fender I lopped it off flush with the underside of the core support.

I shaped the first fender til i liked it and then made a template for the others...

Someone should post Pete's fender trim 'blueprint'. Search for Yunit and fender trimming (prolly about 3-4 years ago) He mapped it out thoroughly.
