Easter Jeep Safari (K5\'rs?)

Anyone in the Moab area the weekend after Jeep Safari? I will be in the area April 28, 29 and 30 and would love to see some K5's on the trail. I still need to buy my wheelin' truck(after the daily driver is finished!) and would love to swap ideas. Most of the Blazer's/Jimmy's I've seen don't flex much and I would love to see some in action. I will be down there with my driver and should be adventerous enough to try some 3 1/2-4 grade trails, but will leave the harder ones to people that aren't concerned about body damage. (My truck is basicly new, now and I'm kind of a wuss about it).

I'll be there for the Safari but not the weekend after. Now if only I get all the things that need to be finished before then... Who's going to be there for the Jeep Safari?

What?

Re: Easter Jeep Safari (K5\'rs?)

Yes, I'm actually driving the K5 out of Denver...

So are you going to Moab Mr. CO K5 or do I need to pull your K5 on a trailer behind mine?

Actually, I was thinking of taking our 99 Grand Prix... With the supercharger and those new 17" BFG Comp TA's, what could stop it???

Whats with the Pinto?

Re: Easter Jeep Safari (K5\'rs?)

Oh, I'm currently installing a blown 502 BBC with 5 ton military axles on the Pinto. I'm going to try to adapt the stock Pinto tranny to the BBC engine this week. Won't be able to take it to Moab though. It's my show vehicle and I'm afraid I might scratch it.

Be careful not to back into anything, those Pintos can explode on impact!

Re: Easter Jeep Safari (K5\'rs?)

I will be there the week after. Look Me up! I have a 4" lifted, dark Blue('95 GMC Indigo if anyone is curious), '77 K15(Ski Utah Plates) with American Racing Baja's and 305/70 R16(they measure exactly 33") and a 3/4 ton axle conversion. My truck only flexes the frame. The Rancho springs that I installed are springs in name only! I will be taking some challenging trails, but may not go on the big nasty ones. I will be with a medium sized group (about 15 various off road vehicles) and we usually camp just before the bridge on the highway(between Arches and Moab). If anyone identifies me, please stop and say 'Hi'. I'd be interested to see any K5's on the trail as I continue my build up!
