so for the last month or so. on my truck 3 quarter ton suburban I have noticed that the starter turns very slowly. also that it is a struggle to start like it takes a hard load against the batteries. I assumed that my starter was going out. within the last 2 weeks intermittently my truck goes into neutral. as if though the transmission is slipping or just dropping out of gear altogether. now normally I can turn the truck off. restart in the transmission comes back to life no harm no foul today I tried to go to work truck would not start wouldn't even try. I had full 12volt batteries when I got off work I jump started the truck transmission was doing nothing. I drove in 1st gear all rhe way to AAMCO talk to the guy behind the counter about their free diagnostic if you agree to let them fix your truck. the mechanic walks out popped the hood immediately grabs hold of my battery terminals and snapped one of the cables off. it was more brittle than glass as was a second cable. He said no charge easy fix if you want to do ypurself no worries. So jump started the truck drove it home change my cables no more transmission issue truck fires over much much faster and my lighted vanity mirrors in the headrest work along with the equalizer to the stereo neither worked before. sometimes it's nice to win one easy I was totally expecting to spend three to four thousand on having the transmission reworked and improved.
