Easy Question on NP205\'s...

What type of oil do they use? I am guessing it is an 80 - 90 W gear oil like a manual transmission uses, or a heavy weight motor oil. My cheap Haynes manual does not even have this info in it.

I just use the 80-90 gear oil at the parts store. Seems to be OK.

in Vegas, I would try and find a high heat synthetic

Later 205's were spec'ed for ATF... but its the same t-case for 20 years /forums/images/graemlins/dunno.gif

I think so long as it's slippery and you can pour it in, it'll work fine. /forums/images/graemlins/waytogo.gif (I prefer gear oil myself... 85W140 if I can get it. /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif)
