easy way to take off doors?

is there any way i can get my doors to open wider without taking them off? cuz i think it would be cool with no doors sometimes and just put them back on?! well im taking the top off tody and im getting an old army box from a military surplus store..its like 3x3 or something like that, good and big and will bolt it down and hold all my stuff..so i was just curious, hey if i dont have a roof, y have doors? /forums/images/graemlins/tongue.gif

There's all this talk about how hard it is to remove doors lately. Why all the trouble? Whne I first got my 73 K5, I pulled off both doors & replaced the hinge pins in the parking lot during my 30 min lunch break. Is there something I'm missing?
