1/2 ton status
I know a 14bolt Detroit fits in an Eaton but will it work in reverse?? I've become Eaton Detroit poor 
and my buddy needs a Detroit in his 14bolt.

Eaton Detroit in a 14bolt or not

If the detroit from a 14 bolt will work in an Eaton as long as you use the 14 bolt shafts, the opposite should be true as well.
I think that is what I have in my 14ff. a friend was going to sell his rig and it had a detroit in his so before he sold it I swapped for my spider-ball. I had to use that 16 spline shafts that came out of his 14ff. Later researched found it was prob an eaton locker retrofitted into the 14ff. I read it was a common swap when the 14ff first came out and there was no locker avallialbe for it then
