i have a Eaton i need to lock but im stumped what is the best way to get this done i have been told either weld or 14bolt detroit, but i have also been told that there is an ez-locker out now for the 14bolts will this work?

Thanks for the help in advance
Tom

14-bolt detroit won't work, the axle shaft spline count is different. I see them used online every now and then, keep an eye out. OR, you could get a later-model 14-bolt and swap it in.

But you can use a 14 bolt's Detroit Locker in the Eaton axle if you change to 14 bolt axle shafts. I believe I have read you have to have the shafts cut down slightly. I am pretty sure there is a post or two on this conversion in the Garage section and I know there are numerous posts over at 4x4pirate.
