Has anyone used them? My c1500 project needs both sides. Anyone have another recommendation?

Others here may know of better ones, but my experience with just about every "patch panel" you can buy around here is probably stamped in the same china or tiwan factory and shipped here, and different name brand stickers get put on them..prices vary a lot from brand to brand, but the thickness and quality doesn't --they all are pretty thin ,and rarely fit very good right off, they usually need tweaking and you can safely assume in 5 years or so there will be rust coming thru them again..

Thanks, that's what I was kinda thinking. I may stop by a local body shop to see what they charge for them

check my 2wd build thread.

I had thick cab corners over the paperthin ones and still had to rework them to get them to look correct.

I used the ones from LMC, but I only used the lower half of them. they seemed to fit fairly well and were thinner than factory but not paper thin. They turned out looking really nice.

A friend of mine recently bought some genuine GM replacement rocker panels for a 2000 Chevy pickup...

I was surprised when I went to pick one up--the thing must weigh 25 lbs!......all the aftermarket "slip on" ones are like 5 lbs and feel like paper in comparison...but,the GM ones cost him 250 bucks for a pair, aftermarket ones are about 50 bucks each..

There used to be some good quality patch panels made in USA from places like "Schott Panels" and "Mill Supply",but I dont know if they still exist or not..last time I saw any advertised was in a Hemmings magazine back in the late 90's,I haven't read that magazine in decades though..google searching might bring up some results..

Gmcpauls.com I've heard good things from. Haven't tried and panels yet but as far as I've heard they have some good stuff. Not sure what year you are going for but they have some panels repro that other companies stopped making as well. Otherwise brothers trucks and lmc and the like are about the same in quality and fit.
