Ebay find, Rare blazer with V8!!

emailed him informing him the 350 was the standard engine and Corvettes didn't have the TBI 350 /forums/images/graemlins/rotfl.gif

I would call that thing a [censored] box. Noe clean. What is so clean about it. That is the way a "vehicle should look"?

Blazer re-run. I watch blazers on ebay about as much as I look at porn... /forums/images/graemlins/whistling.gif /forums/images/graemlins/histerical.gif

whats funny is, he says it has every option but that is obviouslly not the case since it has single headlights and not dual /forums/images/graemlins/rotfl.gif

and I can see rust on the rocker panels, I'm certain the tailgate area is rotted out(if I K5 is in PA the tailgate area is rotted out /forums/images/graemlins/rolleyes.gif

Is that house carpet?

What's the deal with the air conditioning system? I see a compressor(I think)(or is that even a compessor?) but not the big "box" thing on the firewall, only heater hoses /forums/images/graemlins/confused.gif /forums/images/graemlins/dunno.gif Also, it looks like the "heat only" control in the dash board above the fine radio install. Am I missing something?

Yeah you are... its called air conditioning.... Which of course this truck with "every availible option" doesn't have. Also... you see the rust on the rear seat brakets when its folded up?

This floor is most likely rotted completely out.

I'd give maybe $1,500 max, but since this guy is obviously trying to blow smoke up my *ss, he can keep it!

THIS CLEAN FACTORY ORIGINAL K5 BLAZER HAS ALMOST EVERY OPTION AVAILABLE IN 1988 AND WOULD COST THOUSANDS MORE TO REPLACE!

Thats awesome! Along with all of the other problems pointed out, what about this nice clean example of the condition of the truck:

Do you even see a belt on that aftermarket A/C compressor?

Thats good stuff!

let'see here. The only 'options' I see are carpet, 4wd, and the auto. No tilt, no CC, no AC and no power windows/door locks. I feel bad for the person that falls for that.

No clock either. And from the looks of that carpeting, im betting that it didnt come with that from the factory either. What a piece.

What is that hanging down on the bottom of the picture?

[/ QUOTE ]

Looks like the plastic part that attaches to the bottom of the inner wheel well. I think GM used it to prevent mud from caking up around the body mount and rocker area for slowing down rust. I have only seen it on late 80's trucks.

is talks about all these options , /forums/images/graemlins/rotfl.gif
no clock
no power windows
no a/c
no cruise control
no power locks

This Blazer has the massive, powerful, all original Chevrolet 5.7 Liter V8 engine that is often found in only Corvettes!

[/ QUOTE ] Massive? /forums/images/graemlins/yikes.gif /forums/images/graemlins/histerical.gif Has he ever heard of a 454? Or even a 400? Oh and yeah.....it was very rare to get a massive 350 in a truck because they were only found in corvettes. /forums/images/graemlins/histerical.gif /forums/images/graemlins/shame.gif What a dummy.

Post hijack alert.

Just FYI.Chevy used TBI for 2 years in Vetts. 1982 and 1984 (no 83 Vette made) Corvettes were equipped with Crossfire fuel injected TBI 350s.
82 offered only TBI crossfire 350 with 700R4 trans only. No manual trans offered that year.
84s had a L83 350 Crossfire TBI with a whopping 205 HP as the only engine offered.Car and Driver called the new 1984 Corvette "The most advanced production vehicle in the world".
The early 80s were a dark time for performance cars
Vetts went TPI in 85. Things got a lot brighter after that /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif
And yes they were equipped with that "Massive" 350 /forums/images/graemlins/rotfl.gif
