I had a feeling it would be in florida....haha
I dint know that they came with 2.73s nad a 700!!! i thought those were for the ones with a 4speed!
my 79 came with 2.73's stock with a 400 and a th350. I also bought an 83 parts truck with 2.73's but it had a 700r4. I can cruise on the interstate with ease, but when it comes time to play its 4Lo 1st gear and thats all there is. it sucks!
Scary stuff! I will say though, the F-150 idea (if done right, which it wasn't) seems like it could be pretty sweet! Beefy frame, about the right length to the frame (might be butchered but, I am going to give the benefit of the doubt and assume they found a frame that matches wheelbase and length nicely) and practically unbrakeable drivetrain. Just fix the steering, clock the t-case, throw some discs on the axles, put some leaves with reasonable spring rates, etc, and you'd be in business! (Assuming the frame isn't butchered, the drivetrain's in good shape, the body is securely mounted...maybe too many assumptions to make, I guess it's junk after all!)!
But, it could be cool.
That Blazer is just plain frightening though!!!
I used to work at the DOT, we had some very beefy 4x4 dump trucks (not many), they made me think about some pretty neat project ideas! Would see one up for auction every once in a while...
too much of a project for me though.
