ebay rip-off

i just got ripped off on ebay, i bought what i thought to be 2 new flowmasters, the package gets here and there is only 1, i email the guy and syays the auction was for one only, here is the title of the auction. does this mislead you?
if someone can tell me how to post a link of the auction i can so you can see the rest of the add

Works. Though it says "mufflers" in the auction title, he never explicitly specifies how many you are buying. It may just be referring to the fact that he is selling mufflers, and has 24 available, even though you're only buying one. It *should* say somewhere that "this auction is only for one muffler", but I don't know if it has to.

this just pisses me off, i could have bought them individually locally for cheaper. i still feel i have been miss-led over the whole deal, he should have said something in the add, plus when i went to complete the purchase, it never asked me a quantity that i wanted to buy, if it would have done that, then i would have figured it was individually

Maybe you can explain to him that you thought you were getting two mufflers and see if he will discount the price on a second one. And suggest to the seller that they state the quantity (You will get 1 muffler) in the desciption to avoid future problems.

Thats why i dont like dealing with ebay. The ads are sometimes hard to understand. Thats also the reason i support the local stores. When somethings messed up i can go to them and work it out. Over the phone,mail or internet is not always that easy.

only looks like one to me. i always read the auctions a few times, and always call to verify if there is a number

See if you can get them to match the price of the muffler with any of the other competitors.

I agree, 1 muffler, no "s" except for the title. However, theres 24 avaliable. Thats why people need to read, and if there not sure, email the seller.
