Ebrake wont hold

Got a 14ff, drum brakes. Ebrake had been working fine till a couple weeks ago, put it on and it made a really loud pop at the bottom of the pedal. Since then it doesnt hold wortha damn. I adjusted the equalizer nut out all the way, even hadta add a spacer to make it adjust more. Still doesnt hold. Adjusted up the rear shoes tight, still nothing.

I can push it down, pedal 'feels' tight, but let foot off the brake pedal and itll roll forward till it catches in the tranny. I hate that feeling, so thats why Im wantin to get this fixed. I can hear the parts in the drum moving when I have someone push down on the pedal so I dont think its a broken cable or anything like that.

Is there any kind of adjustment on the ebrake pedal?

I'd pull the drums and see what is going on. If it's not the cable it's in the drums.

I had a 12 bolt pull the tit off the end of the cable inside the drum............similar symptons.

X2 Sounds like the cable popped out of the arm in the drum.

Prolly something to do with lack of air conditioning!
