Here's where I'm at... I really wanna keep the front spring eye and the u bolts unmolested for the time being. I think somebody mentioned a block of wood and a pry bar... anybody care to elaborate?? I tried prying it to the side with a crow bar.. appearantly I didn't eat my wheaties :eek1:

do that on both sides and then start jacking until the spring is sitting on the hanger then jack a little more and stick the prybar over the spring and under the frame and push down, shouldnt be that hard, i just did this to mine recently

My only fear is that I'll bend the stock hanger, or screw up a rivet.. and the echobit's function depends of having a good stock hanger.. Yall sure I won't run a chance of bendiing it?

I certainly have a pry bar big enough to do it, I'm just don't wanna screw anything up.. this pry bar is big enough to bend a frame :eek1: I should post a pic of it one day

Should be OK. just ease into it and see how it goes.

well guys, I'm going to give it a try.. I'm headed out right now, gonna bust out the BFP (P for prybar) :D

nope, not working... these are 52's by the way, maybe yall were prying some 56's, those might be easier..

These are simply bottoming out right in the middle of the hanger, with no chance of prying..

surely there's something I can ghetto rig up, so I can be lazy and leave my ubolts alone...

just unbolt the front spring hangers and that will let the whole axle roll forward...

I think I'm about to go do that... would make life ALOT easier.

Unfortunately I'm out of grade 8's and top locks.... so it looks like I'll have to use some grade 5's and nylon lockwashers up front...j

I'm going to unbolt the front spring eye right now ;)

I asked in another thread, but how did you get an echobit shackle reversal? I thought that they were out of business.
