Has anyone ever bought anything from echobit? I purchased a set of shackle flips about 3 weeks ago. I have only received 1 email from him saying they were backordered. I have emailed him at least 8 times asking about a shipping date, with no response. Has anyone else experienced this?

As of right now I believe he won't be producing shackle flips and some other items through the winter. Wouldn't be the first time I've heard of poor communication.

I know he has been really busy, you might try shooting him a PM from here. Give him some time to get back with you. /forums/images/graemlins/thumb.gif

He does? Where is it? I didn't think that he had one, and I just looked and didn't see one either. Am I missing something?

I ordered the stepped sliders from him 3 weeks ago and he promised they would be made over thanksgiving hoildays. I have posted in that forum and sent emails and PM's but no reply. Hes a good guy, just be patient (Im trying myself but it aint easy). He told me he has given all the stuff for some other shop to make them...I dunno /forums/images/graemlins/confused.gif

I have one question regarding this company and any other company out there who does this (eTechWarehouse.com) etc.. Why take orders, when you know you can't fill them?

I may be slow witted sometimes, but I sure have enough sense to know this could get you in trouble. /forums/images/graemlins/rotfl.gif

i pmed mike about my shackle flip kits at the begining
of october and sent him the money.he pmed me on 10/17

It all depends on if the company is misrepresenting these types of sales. To me, if a company takes an order just to get the revenue in quicker, that's a business ethics issue. As long as the customer knows an item is back ordered before the order is placed, then I see no problems with a company doing this. Because the customer can choose whether to send the money. However, if a customer does not ask about availability that's the customers problem...

Anyway, if the customer in not voluntarily notified, that a part is not currently available, by the business(that knows the part is not available) before the order is placed, that, IMO, is UNETHICAL! /forums/images/graemlins/angryfire.gif

I am installing the flip right now... easy install...except getting my old bushings out UGGHH... I beleive as he was making these items the internet orders piled up and he got behind... he is a good guy and his product is awesome... /forums/images/graemlins/thumb.gif

I purchased the shackle flip and shims. I was kinda in a pinch because a trip to colorado was coming up. I decided to get my 14bff and 8lug front installed before the trip. He got them to me quick so I was able to go. Definatly a great guy. /forums/images/graemlins/thumb.gif

It's worth the wait. /forums/images/graemlins/thumb.gif I had the same problem. He means well and I know he wanted to step off of it for a while but I think he's trying to help everyone out as well. Hang in there.

I did the exact same thing. I would have never posted about it though until you stepped up to the plate first /forums/images/graemlins/rotfl.gif

wouldn't it be easier, cheaper, and faster to just make your own rather than wait months? I'd never wait that long for a prepaid item that I could make at my bench in a couple hours.
