Cool pics, I wish we got snow like that at least once a year. We rarely get more than a inch or two for the whole year.

haha i thought this was a thread for a ricer or little car race haha cool pics tho man, id love to play in that much snow

i wanted so watch it as well but its rainy over here, jaja nice to see a good ol blazer savind a jeeps ass.

Is that a wood rear bumper ?? just curious...

hahaha no. I just haven't painted it yet because I made it a couple weeks ago and I still need to bring the sides back to the frame rail in the middle of the gas tank, include a gas tank skid, make some d-ring mounts, and add a drop-down tire carrier. I just threw it on there because my old gay Smittybuilt bumper (POs :doah:) was folding so bad that I couldn't use the high lift or pull from it anymore.

How far did you go through the deep snow? How deep was the snow? How much shoveling?

I only have a couple hundred miles on my rebuilt tranny so I don't want to beat it just yet but I had to test Jiminy after last week's 19" snow storm. I was satisfied with the results.

I think we probably ascended about 2000' vertically? I believe that Peavine's summit is about 8500' and Reno is about 4500'. We were about 3/4 of the way up the access road when we turned around, but it was becoming an issue partially because it gets steeper for the last run to the top. The trail was pretty decent due to snow cat traffic lately, but I dug in over the top of my 40s quite a few times. The really cool thing about these tires is that I hardly ever get stuck from being high-centered. In both of those stuck pictures, I was stalling the motor rather than just spinning the tires. And that's in sierra cement, not the dry powdery stuff. I have to chop the snow up with an axe before I can use the aluminum scoop shovel.

I only had to dig a couple times. Most of the group wasn't very experienced and I was having trouble teaching them how to use their winches and rigs (TJs and JKs on ~35s) to pull out something that is a lot bigger than them. I gave up on explaining to them the idea behind burying yourself up to the axles to anchor yourself while winching, and just scooped out behind my tires and backed out.
