what year did the ecm start controling the tranny? The reason is i have a 96 and want to swap a 4l80e into it. i was curious if i could have my ecm flashed to replace the 60e files with the 80e files.

you could swithc to a ECU from the same year with the same engine that had a 4l80E and be fine
