with my Innova 3140 OBD 1 & 2. I can retrieve codes using a jumper, but the scanner won't communicate. Any ideas what would cause that? 1987 Blazer 350 TBI

ECM won't communicate

It wouldn't communicate with WINALDL either, that's why I bought the Innova.
I'm not familar with Inova? But if it is also a cable to laptop like WinALDL it could be the cable installation USB/Com port issue. If not look at Pin E on ALDL port is connected, I've seen them pushed out...

Innova is a hand held anylizer. It has cables for each type of port. Pin 9 on the vehicle port, right? Thanks.
Your plug for OBDI should have a cross in it for Pin E 160 Baud, yours and Pin M 8192 Baud others.
