Fuel pump relay is really cheap ($10.99 at autozone) and super simple to replace (10 minutes, no tools), worth a shot before paying someone to diagnose this thing.

I went through the same problem with my 4.3 s-10 blazer. Turned out to be the ECM, got lucky found one for ten bucks swapped it out and has been running like a dream for years now. Might try that rout before you pay someone for diagnostics, get the number off your ECM and try to track one down, i got mine off of e-bay. If you can get one cheap enough it might be worth a shot.

Good point Livid, even if you have to buy a new ECM, if I remember they were like $120 at autozone, it would be cheaper than paying a typical shop. Most shops charge ~$100/hr give or take and it doens't take much to spend 2 hours tracking down a gremlin. Althoug $120 is a lot to gamble on, suppose you could take it back if it didn't solve the problem.
