Economical winch mount?

Im inteested in mounting a 10Klb winch on my 84 K5 but really would rather not spend $600 for a bumper. Any other options?
Wish I could find a used Warn traditional bumper or their old pushbar/grill guard mount but no luck yet.

You should be watching the classifieds on this site. There was a Warn classic just a few weeks ago, as well as the one I just picked up. They come up on occasion, and the classifieds on the site usually has a variety.

You could also just buy a winch plate and attach it to the frame somehow.

i've seen quite a few of them on craigslist. check out dontoe's hidden winch mount write up. that's a good one too! very cheap.

I must be in the wrong place at the right time,I must spend over 2 hours a day on CL scrutinizing for deals and rarely see any Blazer goodies.

Weld a plate between your frame rails and mount it there. I had to index the release lever side counter clockwise a bit

Also check out the www.diy4x.com site for the bumper centers. They are stout and cheap compared to a full bumper.
