Edelbrock 1405 or Carter AFB?

Which one would you put on top of a 350 engine? If neither, then what would you use instead? I need this carb to give me decent gas milage in town while also not being prone to failure on steep angles/off road conditions.

i have a 1405 and afb are very similar carbs. I have a 1406, also similar. I would say that mileage is okay but if I did it all over again I would get a q-jet.
