If i swap the stock tbi intake for an edelbrock 3704 and a bigger tb from say tbi parts, what kind of hp gains am I looking at? Is it worth the money, or should I just keep it stock?

the e-brock tbi intakes are nice, they do flow better than stock.. but you really can't look at it as hp gains.. it's part of an overall picture...... cam, heads, chip, injectors, all add up to give you better power... just the intake? 5 or less i would say... but make use of that extra flow with more fuel, cam, etc, the #'s go up...

keeping the computer happy is the most challenging part to building power with EFI...

Yeah I know i'll make decent power by swapping out all the major components, but that gets pricey and at that point I might as well swap an ls. Trying to keep it as stock a possible with a few extra ponies, without spending a ton. Looking at doing the 3704 and a larger tbi with "pursuit package" injectors. Problem is, I dont know anyone who has done just minor mods and not sure if it's even worth doing for the $.

If your only going half way keep your money in your pocket.

I don't find that a challenge at all?

In more detail, if you let more air and fuel in and the motor can't do anything with it? Why waste the money?

Now add some Vortec heads, cam and headers and it'll be worth the money and effort.

Did you end up going this route?

Curious to know if everything bolts up without custom work. Brackets, etc.

I have used this manifold on two different engines and all brackets and accessories bolted up great. There are slight differences in height so very minor adjustments to cables and connections will need to be made.

Perfect. Thats what i needed.

Mine is on its way. Hoping for a simple install.

Didn't read the fine print. Not really smog legal. Guess it's getting primed and painted black before install. They say it comes in black, but haven't found one for sale

I didn't realize it wasn't smog certified, I figured the EGR provision would have covered that. I painted mine black as well for the stealth factor

My only reservation with painting it is if something goes wrong and I want to return it. Oh well. Only concern is height at this point. I've got the tbi spacer on mine now, and although it says it's only a 1/4" taller , it looks bigger than that to me
