Edelbrock Carb and a 700r4, Whos running this?

I am in my Burban and I am trying to figure out how I haven't already killed my 700R4. I just found out that you need an adapter to attach the tv cable to it. Did any one make one or did you just buy the one offered. $30 bucks is a joke for a simple piece of steel.

I just but a 396 in a 84 2wd swb with a 700 in it. I using the edelbrock manifold and a 1411 carb. All I ddid was use a chrome throttle bracket on the back of the carb and took the original bracket and cut the part off that the tv cable snaps into, cleaned it up and painted it and used one of the intake manifold bolts behind the carb and it works perfect. If you try this it should work.
